Hey, I’m Scott.
If you’ve ever stumbled upon a DIY YouTube channel on home repairs, that might have been me. Born in a rural community in Illinois, I grew up embracing hands-on projects, whether building a simple treehouse or engaging in home repairs.
From those early experiences, I got a passion for DIY projects, which eventually led me to explore the world of solar energy here at Everyday Solar.
I’m not an expert (yet), but I’m always looking to learn more and show you what I find along the way.
Here’s what Everyday Solar is all about:
- Sharing my first-hand journey as I take on solar installation at my own home, giving you an unfiltered look into the process, challenges, and outcomes.
- Providing a grounded perspective on solar energy, bridging the gap between technical jargon and practical homeowner concerns.
While I’ve been a part of numerous DIY projects over the years, solar installation offers its own set of challenges. Even with my background, tasks like tying into the grid present a steep learning curve. It’s why I’m having a professional installation on my own house.
But everything else, I’ll figure out myself, and I’ll take you along for the ride. I’m keen to share every step of the process with you.
Everyday Solar isn’t just a digital platform—it’s a community for solar enthusiasts, homeowners, and curious minds alike. If you’ve got questions, stories, or even challenges you’ve faced in your own solar journey, I’m here to engage and learn alongside you.
